Parents as Teachers

Parents as Teachers

Parents As Teachers (PAT) is a national, evidence-based home visitation program for families with children from prenatal through kindergarten. The program focuses on increasing parent’s knowledge of early childhood development, improving parenting practices, and providing early detection of developmental delays and health issues. PAT also works to prevent child abuse and neglect and enhance children’s school readiness. Services are centered around four key components: personal visits, group connections, child screenings, and access to a resource network, all designed to support families and ensure children’s success.
