Learn Early

Our Focus

A Strong Start for Little Learners

From birth to age 5 is the most rapid growth period in children. In these 5 years, kids establish their foundation for all future learning. It is essential that children and their families are supported during this crucial time. To help, we’ve teamed up with proven solutions, like Healthy Families, which provides in-home support for new mothers, and offer activities the whole family can engage in to ensure our early learners are prepared for success in school.

Home Visitation

Through our partnership with Healthy Families aT Healthnet, we're providing home visitation services for families with children from birth through 3 years old.

How it works…new parents/caretakers are matched with a Family Support Specialist (FSS) who meets with the family regularly in their home, offering developmental screenings to track growth and milestones, along with fun activities to promote baby’s development. Most importantly, Healthy Families offers answers and support, tailored to meet the unique needs of each family.

Parents As Teachers

Parents as Teachers (PAT) focuses on increasing a parent’s knowledge of early childhood development, improving parenting practices, and providing early detection of developmental delays and health issues.

Services are centered around four key components: personal visits, group connections, child screenings, and access to a resource network, all designed to support families and ensure children’s success. PAT also works to prevent child abuse and neglect and enhance children’s school readiness by providing home visits for families with children before birth through kindergarten.

SPARK Learning Lab Series

SPARK Early Learning Professional Development

The IndyEast Promise Neighborhood teamed up with SPARK Learning Lab to provide neighborhood early learning providers with training, coaching, resources, and more!

Having quality options for childcare in your neighborhood is essential for preparing little learners for kindergarten. The IndyEast Promise Neighborhood teamed up with SPARK Learning Lab and their All Our Kin Business Series. This Series is specifically for Family Child Care Home providers to help boost their business with essential skills in marketing, contract writing, financial management, risk management, and effective communication.

Local family childcare providers went through a 7-week program to strengthen their child care business. Upon completing the training, providers received a free laptop, printer, and marketing tools, including refreshed logos, flyers and business cards. Additionally, graduates have access to ongoing support from the IEPN Early Childhood Engagement Specialists at Edna Martin Christian Center (EMCC) and John Boner Neighborhood Center (JBNC).
