The IndyEast Promise Neighborhood is full of strong, resilient families and incredible resources. Together, we’re creating lasting opportunities for our children to succeed. This year we are working on:
- Support for New Moms through partnerships with Healthnet and Parents as Teachers
- SPARK collaboration will continue to train and bring more expansion through which will bring more Quality Child Care centers to the neighborhoods.
- In-School Support at all 11 Promise schools to provide personalized support & resources for scholars and families.
- Continued support of in-school Attendance & Social-Emotional Growth programs at Promise Schools.
- New partnerships that offer more Tutoring & Career Exploration opportunities.
- Kindergarteners can kick-start their financial future with Dreams to Scholars, a 529 College Savings Account program that provides initial funding and financial literacy education opportunities.
- We’re teaming up with KIPP Forward, Elevate, and Future Centers to provide middle and high school students with real-world experiences and opportunities for career exploration.
- Continued support for Promise Schools with on-site food pantries.
- Free Family Literacy Kits with books and activities to encourage reading and learning together at home.
